During a trip to the Lake District with a good friend of mine; Phil, we found a disused quarry which was being offered up as a museum and steam train line for the public to enjoy.
After a friendly chat with the men who run the site we were allowed to come back later in the night and capture some photos of the machinery there.
Due to the location of the quarry, it gave excellent night skies, clear and free from light pollution. Our only limiting factor was temperature; causing fogging issues for our lenses.
